Required Qualifications
* Completion of all vaccinations and boosters as required by the Executive Office of Aging and Independence. Covid and flu, or have declination on file.
* High School Graduate
* Ability to organize, plan and supervise group recreational activities
* A sincere desire to work with older adults
* Promote health and wellbeing for all residents
* Never been convicted of a felony
* Must be understanding, patient, and kind and willing to learn more about the special needs for our residents.
* Must be a team player with other staff members
* Expectation is to smile when engaging with our residents, family members, and guests
* Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm
* Must be at least 21 years of age
* In good mental and physical health
Job Performance Criteria
* Must be in good physical health and able to assist residents with ambulation and use of mechanical devices such as walkers, wheelchairs, canes, crutches, braces using proper body mechanics.
* Positive energy and always pleasant
* Must be able to lift mechanical devices (list of above) in and out of automobile/van.
* Must sit, stand, and walk intermittently during the workday.
* Is subject to frequent interruptions.
* May have to handle emotional disturbances.
* Must deal with the public under varying conditions.
* Must have ability to react calmly and effectively in any type of situation.
* Required to be constantly alert to possible injuries to residents.
* Dress code: Business Casual
