Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 6:00am 3:00pm
Pay: £13.42 per hour (rising to £15.16 per hour after successful probation)
Job Overview
We are looking for a QA Supervisor to join our client in Bedford area.
The successful candidate will work across departments on the shop floor and collaborate closely with the FSQ and Operations teams to ensure all Food Safety & Quality (FSQ) procedures are followed to the highest standards.
This role is key to ensuring we consistently deliver high-quality products to customers while maintaining compliance with company and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure quality issues are minimised, prevented from recurring, and identified before dispatch.
* Support corrective action processes by investigating non-conformances, performing root cause analysis, and implementing corrective strategies.
* Monitor and manage daily quality KPIs.
* Ensure daily micro samples are taken and recorded.
* Carry out pre-start checks throughout the factory, including sterilisers and other equipment.
* Perform label and weight checks to ensure consistency and compliance.
* Conduct daily contamination checks where appropriate.
* Ensure all quality records are completed, logged, and stored correctly.
* Perform regular hygiene inspections across the site.
* Collect and log product samples and environmental swabs.
* Conduct internal site audits in line with the audit schedule and follow up on findings.
* Maintain full traceability throughout the production process.
Requirements
* Previous QA or Quality experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred.
* Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and quality standards.
* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
