Senior housing development officer

We are seeking an experienced and motivated development professional with a passion for delivering high quality affordable housing. You will have a strong track record of managing residential development projects, excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to lead schemes from inception through to completion. As Senior Development Officer you will lead the end to end delivery of affordable housing projects across Warwick District. This includes managing project viability and budgets, procuring and managing consultants and contractors, ensuring schemes are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest standards. Experience delivering housing or residential development projects through the full development lifecycle Knowledge of affordable housing delivery, development finance and project management. Strong partnership and stakeholder management skills. Experience managing budgets, contracts and development risks. Excellent communication, negotiation and problem-solving abilities. This is a full-time, permanent position within the Housing Development Team. The role offers a flexible hybrid working arrangement, with time split between working from home, the Council's offices and visiting development sites and partners across the district as required. As a senior member of the team you will support the Programme Manager in the delivery of the Council's affordable housing and development programme, helping to drive projects forward and achieve strategic objectives. You will also provide day to day support, guidance and oversight to the Development Officer, contributing to their professional development and ensuring the effective delivery of projects across the team. The intention is for the postholder to work predominately from home however, it is a requirement to attend our offices or sites within Warwick District as required. Any costs for travel from home to the office will be met by the successful candidate. However, hybrid and office working is also available.
