About us:

Situated in the heart of the pretty fishing village of Appledore, The Seagate is the perfect spot to explore the dramatic coastline of the South West Coastal Path and breathe in gallons of glorious fresh Atlantic sea air.
Then after a day out in the wild, return back to the pub for a hearty feast and a few local ales. In summer spend the evening wining and dining on our stunning sea view terrace, and in winter cuddle up next to our roaring fire with a hearty British meal! Plus four-legged friends are welcome too.

Being a CDP at Young's:

We believe every pub should have its own identity. As part of the kitchen team, you’ll contribute to developing recipes that reflect the food vision of both the business and the Head Chef, using fresh, seasonal ingredients.

Each pub has its own focus — whether that’s celebrating local produce, classic country pub dishes, seafood, small plates and sharing plates, or expertly prepared dry-aged meats. Your ideas and experience will play an important role in shaping the dishes we serve to our guests.



Because we work with fresh, seasonal produce, our menus evolve throughout the year to showcase ingredients at their very best. Our goal is simple: premium, freshly prepared food created by skilled chefs in premium pubs.

What we look for in a Chef de Partie:



We
are looking for an existing Chef de Partie looking
for a change and freedom to be creative as their next step, who considers themselves to have a passion and flare for
producing quality fresh food in an environment that makes people feel welcome.
As the successful Chef de Partie you will:



* Have experience championing excellent service
through quality food
* Demonstrate a passion to deliver fantastic food
every time
* Be an active hands-on Chef de Partie / Kitchen
Supervisor
* Show willingness to learn new skills, be an
active team player with excellent communication friends are welcome too. skills
* Working alongside your Head Chef, you will be
able to demonstrate your creativity and ability by helping to design and
deliver new dishes for our menus and daily specials
* Demonstrate great planning and organisational
skills, necessary to maintain effective controls with regard to both GP and
labour
* Have a pro-active approach to driving sales and
delivering growth, through engagement with both kitchen and front of house
teams
