The HR Advisor will effectively support the HR Business Partnering Teams in delivering a high quality HR service provision to users throughout the company. The HR Advisor will be responsible for managing a complex and varied caseload, providing expert advice and guidance across the business. The core focus of the role is to maintain a positive employee relations culture through supporting the management in matters relating to employee relations, performance management, health & wellbeing, and disciplinary. In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed below, the job holder may be required to perform other duties assigned by their line manager or the HR Director from time to time. To provide clear and comprehensive HR advice, coaching and support on a variety of generalist areas including employee relations, health and wellbeing, recruitment, performance management and diversity & inclusion, in line with internal policies and procedures and prevailing legislation and best practice Effectively engage with the respective HRBP on any high risk or complex cases to agree the necessary action steps and to mitigate any risk Maintain a positive and productive working relationship with colleagues at all levels, ensuring a professional and proactive approach To represent the HR team in engagement with colleagues during onboarding/induction and off boarding activity To support Team Leaders/Managers with the succession planning process as required Support, develop and collaborate with all members of the HR function, and in particular HR Coordinators, where appropriate Assist with the continuous review, development, documentation and communication of HR policies and processes, ensuring any legislative updates are acted upon with the relevant stakeholders Support the delivery of the HR People Plan and assist on HR projects and initiatives for the division or company-wide as required Contribute ideas and provide support to enable continuous improvement and best practice in all areas of HR Work with the HR Analyst to review HR data to identify themes and issues and work with the HRBPs to agree the necessary course of action CIPD qualification desirable Recent experience in a similar role Comprehensive and up to date knowledge of UK employment legislation and it’s relevance in business practices. Knowledge of employment legislation in the Republic of Ireland would also be beneficial but is not essential Excellent communication skills Effective leadership skills, influencing managers at all levels to bring matters to an appropriate conclusion Ability to build productive and collaborative relationships at all levels and positively challenge and influence where appropriate Effective time management and prioritisation of tasks
