About Choices Homecare

We collaborate closely with local authorities, healthcare providers, and care professionals to deliver outcome-focused care.
Working Hours
Our service operates seven days a week between 7:00am and 10:00pm. We welcome applications from candidates seeking either full‑time or part‑time hours. Please indicate your preferred working days and hours on the pre‑screen application. We are particularly interested in applicants who are available for afternoon and evening shifts (2:00pm–10:00pm). Full days on weekends also. We’re proud to offer flexible zero‑hour contracts where you can choose to work as many hours as you’d like. To keep things fair for everyone, we ask for a minimum of 16 hours each week, preferably with every other weekend included. You’ll work on a simple 2‑week rolling rota, so you’ll always know your schedule in advance.
Please note: this role is paid for care delivery time only, with mileage between calls reimbursed at 30p per mile. This is not a block pay position.
Key Responsibilities
* Supporting individuals with personal care needs such as washing, dressing, and toileting.
* Assisting with medication administration and documentation in line with care plans.
* Preparing meals and assisting with eating and drinking where required.
* Promoting independence and encouraging service users to engage in daily living tasks.
* Building positive relationships with individuals and their families.
* Supporting emotional well-being and recognising signs of distress or changes in behaviour.
* Maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
* Ensuring a clean, safe, and comfortable environment in the home.
* Respecting confidentiality and always maintaining professional boundaries.
What You’ll Need

* Experience preferred but not essential – full training provided.
* UK driving licence and own vehicle essential within certain routes/locations. We pay 30p per mile fuel allowance.
* Alternative weekend availability.
