Social Worker - Adolescent Safeguarding Team (Dudley)Make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable young people.Dudley Council is seeking a dedicated and experienced Social Worker to join our Adolescent Safeguarding Team. This is a challenging and rewarding role for a compassionate professional committed to protecting vulnerable adolescents.About the Role:
* Conduct thorough assessments of adolescents at risk, identifying their needs and developing person-centered support plans.
* Undertake safeguarding investigations, working collaboratively with multi-agency partners (police, health professionals, education) to ensure effective interventions.
* Engage with adolescents and their families, building rapport and trust to achieve positive outcomes.
* Manage a caseload effectively, prioritizing urgent cases and adhering to statutory timescales.
* Contribute to a supportive and collaborative team environment committed to best practice.
* Participate in regular supervision and contribute to service development.
Requirements:
* Registered with Social Care England.
* Minimum 3 years' post-qualification experience as a qualified Social Worker. Experience working with adolescents and/or in safeguarding is highly desirable.
* Excellent assessment, communication, and case management skills.
* Strong understanding of relevant legislation and policies relating to adolescent safeguarding.
* Ability to build rapport and trust with young people and their families.
* Commitment to person-centered practice and ethical standards.
