It’s about the environment, the atmosphere and the people – creating that sense of home that will help students feel safe, secure, and help them thrive.**We have a great opportunity for a Maintenance Supervisor to work as part of our on-site team in Nottingham.**This is a permanent full-time position working 37.5 hours per week 9am–5.30pm, Monday to Friday. The salary is circa £45,000 per annum depending on experience and qualifications.The Maintenance Supervisor will lead and supervise the maintenance team overseeing the day-to-day maintenance activity ensuring service delivery is completed safely, efficiently and to the required standard and support delivery of reactive, planned and compliance maintenance. This key role will support in shaping exceptional student living, leading a team that keeps our site safe and running efficiently at all times.**Role responsibilities as a Maintenance Supervisor include:*** Lead, motivate, and inspire direct reports to deliver consistent service excellence and achieve performance objectives.* Deliver reliable, high-quality maintenance services aligned with client requirements, contractual commitments, and organisational goals. Monitoring service delivery to minimise rework and waste and assist with basic cost awareness, ordering, and stock control.* Work closely with line manager and Sinking Fund colleagues to achieve requirements of Asset management programme.* Support sustainable maintenance practices, including efficient use of materials and resources.* Ensure all team members possess the required qualifications and training, and that their skills are utilised efficiently in line with operational and compliance standards.* Escalate any Health and Safety issues ensuring any follow up actions are completed.* Undertake work within the residences in a safe working environment, assessing all Health and Safety issues before work commences and all relevant records are kept up to date.* Provide operational support to the Head of Maintenance, acting as a credible liaison and offering insights to support effective decisions.**This role requires knowledge gained from working with maintenance teams and for you to hold a relevant technical qualification or relevant experience in facilities management as well as a UK manual driving licence.**You will have the ability to organise, motivate and support a multi-skilled team working across planned and reactive tasks. You will be a great communicator with strong organisation skills, the ability to lead by example, remain calm under pressure and a passion to do a great job.You will have a good understanding of the operational procedures and safe working practices of building services and systems as well as good understanding of health and safety, with the ability to always work in a safe manner.
