Applicants must hold a full UK manual driving licence. Automatic licences do not qualify.
The role includes weekend work and, where necessary, occasional evenings. You will supervise a group at an unpaid work placement for up to 7 hours a day.
Weekend days are paid at a 50% premium.
Working may involve driving service vehicles to transport people or equipment, and you are responsible for all work site supervision tasks.
Responsibilities
Oversee and support work groups of offenders serving community sentences, ensuring tasks are carried out to the best ability, demonstrating good practice as necessary.
Maintain wellness and wellbeing, with support from the service where rest breaks are constrained by pace.
Qualifications and requirements
Right to work in the UK – you must have the legal right to live and work in the UK and the Civil Service.
Manual UK driving licence, full manual driving licence required.
Experience or capability to supervise offenders in community settings is desirable.
