About the Role
We are looking for a brilliant Business Intelligence Developer who is ready to join us and to grow as part of a well established, successful and dynamic team.
You’ll be a key member of our Internal Student Reporting and Business Intelligence team, liaising with our stakeholders, trusted suppliers and friendly team to understand and contribute to the design and delivery of university wide solutions that will have a direct, positive impact on the learning experiences of our students and staff.
In an era defined by data driven decision making and the integration of AI capabilities, this role is more critical than ever. We're facing a rising tide of requests to leverage data effectively.
* You'll liaise with stakeholders and suppliers to design and deliver university-wide BI solutions that directly enhance the learning experience for students and staff.
* You will gain a strong understanding of our vast data ecosystem, including the Student Records System, underlying table structures, derived data sets, the University's Data Warehouse, and external data sources (like ACP).
* You will be instrumental in the design, construction, testing, deployment, and optimisation of critical BI dashboards.
This is a permanent, full time post, however a fractional appointment of a minimum of 0.8FTE will also be considered.
About You
We're looking for a genuine team player, someone who views problems as challenges and is driven by curiosity. You're tenacious, ensuring tasks are seen through to completion, yet self aware enough to seek support when you need it.

You will have experience of data analysis, modelling and forecasting and creating tools and systems to aid in these processes.
Understanding and knowledge and experience of a range of Business Intelligence (BI) tools and software.
You have experience with Database Tools and SQL Query development.
Working Arrangements
We support hybrid working. While our team is based at the Headington Campus in Oxford, we are happy to explore flexible arrangements that balance remote work with time spent on campus to foster team engagement and collaboration. There is an expectation to be on campus at least one day per week.
