Overview
As a Social Lettings Officer Ex Offender Specialist, your primary objectives are to enhance accessibility to private sector housing options and prevent homelessness. You will lead early intervention efforts, offering crucial support to individuals and families facing housing challenges. Your dedication to fostering sustainable housing solutions will make a lasting impact on the community.
Responsibilities
* Develop and implement strategies to improve housing options and ensure safe, sustainable accommodation for all community members.
* Work collaboratively with stakeholders.
* Visit and assess properties for design, space, suitability, hazards, safety standards and disrepair, making recommendations for remedial action.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Good operational working knowledge of housing legislation in both the public and private sectors.
* Experience working with Ex Offenders and understanding the complexity of their needs.
* Commitment to providing a high‑quality, customer‑focused service.
* DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required.
