Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home (Holmfirth)
Role
A well‑established 5‑bed children’s home rated Good by Ofsted, looking for an experienced Registered Manager to lead a structured, well‑supported service providing caring for five young people. The role involves full operational responsibility for the home, maintaining a safe, stable and nurturing environment, and progressing the service from a Good to an Outstanding Ofsted rating.
Key Responsibilities
* Overall leadership and day‑to‑day management of the home
* Oversight of placement plans, care plans & risk assessments
* Lead, supervise and develop a trauma‑informed staff team
* Manage rotas to ensure safe staffing levels across 1:1 and 2:1 care ratios
* Safeguarding oversight, incident management & statutory notifications
* Budget management and financial accountability
* Prepare for and lead Ofsted inspections
* Multi‑agency liaison with social workers and external professionals
* Participation in on‑call rota
What We’re Looking For
* Previous Registered Manager experience within children’s residential care (Strong Deputy Manager ready to step up may be considered)
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or enrolled)
* Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
* Strong knowledge of safeguarding and Children’s Homes Regulations
* Experience managing multi‑placement homes and complex needs
* Calm, resilient and structured leadership approach
Package
£50,000 – £60,000 basic salary (DOE) + £5,000 welcome bonus + performance & quality‑related bonuses. Supported by a senior leadership structure.
