The ultimate aim is to ensure that should faults - failures occur that they are quickly and efficiently assessed as to their impact on the trains continued use for that journey - and or planned service. Identifying and assessing such occurrences and managing a pragmatic solution is key to ensuring that the fleets capacity is optimised throughout a very busy period of operations. It is expected that you will have a strong background in rail vehicle engineering, perhaps in such as testing and commissioning of vehicles as well as a good understanding of Network Rail processes and procedures for vehicle operations. What is also key is your fortitude and ability to make the right decisions often in pressurised circumstances.
