My client is a busy auto repair garage and MOT station seeking a full-time Administrator to join their team in the Hitchin area. Please note due to the rural location of this role, you must be able to drive and have access to your own vehicle The Role As an Administrator, you'll be the backbone of the office, ensuring smooth operations and excellent communication with our valued customers. Your responsibilities will include: Answering telephone calls and directing enquiries efficiently. Documenting vehicle issues and expertly arranging appointments for our technicians. Updating clients on vehicle progress, keeping them informed every step of the way. Preparing and providing accurate quotations for services and repairs. Ordering parts from suppliers and managing deliveries. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date online service records. Processing accurate and timely sales invoices. Checking and processing purchase invoices. Managing the workshop diary, optimising appointments and workflow. The Ideal Candidate We're looking for an Administrator who is: Highly organised with strong attention to detail. An excellent communicator, both over the phone and in person. Proficient with computers and comfortable learning new software. Proactive and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. A team player with a positive attitude.
