Secondment Opportunity (Up to 6 Months) I nterim Director of Estates and Facilities NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde An exciting executive-level secondment opportunity has arisen within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) for an experienced and values-driven leader to join the Corporate Management Team as Interim Director of Estates and Facilities. NHSGGC is the largest NHS Board in Scotland, serving a population of 1.3 million people with over 42,000 staff and an annual budget of £4.65 billion. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the infrastructure and essential services that support safe, effective and person-centred care at scale. The Role Reporting to the Chief Executive, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across a complex estates and facilities portfolio, including: Property and asset management Sustainability and energy strategy Fire safety, compliance and risk management Decontamination, waste and environmental services Catering, portering, logistics and core facilities services You will lea d over 4,900 st aff and manage an annual revenue budget of approximat ely £350 million, ensuring safe, resilient, efficient and financially sustainable services aligned to organisational priorities. As a member of the Corporate Management Team, you will contribute to Board-level strategy, governance and major transformation programmes. About You You will be a credible senior leader with: Executive or Board-level experience within the NHS or a similarly complex organisation Experience leading large, multidisciplinary estates and facilities teams Strong financial, governance and risk management expertise Political awareness and the ability to work effectively across complex stakeholder environments You will demonstrate NHS Scotland values, champion equality and inclusion, and maintain a clear focus on improving outcomes for patients, staff and communities.
