PMLD Care Support Worker
Location: Newcastle
Pay: £89 - £103
Contract: Full-time / Part-time considered
Are you compassionate and skilled in supporting individuals with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD)? We are seeking dedicated Care Support Workers to join a specialist further education setting supporting young people aged 16 to 25 with complex needs.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Provide personalised care and support tailored to the needs of individuals with PMLD
2. Assist with daily living activities including personal care, mobility, feeding, and communication
3. Support access to educational and therapeutic programmes, promoting independence and wellbeing
4. Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams including therapists and educators
5. Maintain a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment at all times
6. Monitor and report on individuals’ progress and wellbeing

7. Experience working with individuals with profound and multiple learning difficulties or similar complex needs
8. Patient, empathetic, and able to build trusting relationships
9. Strong communication skills, including alternative communication methods
10. Team player with flexibility and reliability
