SEN Teaching Assistant – Outstanding Secondary School (Autism & ADHD Support)

An Outstanding secondary school in Three Rivers, Hertfordshire is looking for an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join their inclusive and supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is eager to make a real difference in the lives of young people with Autism and ADHD.
The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you’ll work closely with students across Key Stages 3–4, providing tailored academic and emotional support to help them thrive in a mainstream school environment. Your responsibilities will include:
• Supporting students with Autism, ADHD, and other additional learning needs
• Assisting teachers with classroom management and lesson delivery
• Running small-group or one-to-one booster and intervention sessions
• Helping students build confidence, independence, and positive learning habits
• Collaborating with the SENCO and wider pastoral team to create a nurturing learning environment
• This is a full-time, term-time position initially offered on a temporary basis, with the potential to extend or go permanent for the right candidate.

• Patient, empathetic, and committed to inclusive education
• Experienced or interested in supporting students with SEN
• Confident in working across Key Stages 3–4 (experience in KS5 is a plus)
• Reliable, proactive, and a positive role model for young people
