Join an Outstanding School Where Every Day is an Adventure
At Ravenshall School, learning really is an adventure. Our pupils describe their journey here as exciting, challenging and full of opportunity – and our most recent Ofsted inspection praised the "incredible journeys" they make every day.
We are an outstanding community special school for pupils aged 4–19 with a wide range of complex needs. Our approach is rooted in care, respect and ambition: we expect the very best for our pupils and support them to achieve it. From multisensory learning to enterprise projects such as Raven's Boutique, from daily sensory circuits to "Wonderful Wednesdays", our curriculum is purposeful, creative and designed to unlock every child's potential
We are now looking to appoint two talented teachers – one to lead learning in a PMLD class, and one to teach in a Key Stage 3 complex needs class.
What We're Looking For
We welcome applications from both mainstream and special school backgrounds. What matters most is your:
* Passion for working with children and young people with special educational needs
* Ability to create engaging, challenging and personalised learning experiences
* High expectations for yourself and your pupils
* Skills in teamwork, communication and classroom leadership
* Positivity, energy and a strong sense of commitment.
Experience of PMLD or complex needs teaching is an advantage but not essential – we provide high-quality training and ongoing professional development.
What We Offer
At Ravenshall you will find:
* An ambitious, innovative curriculum supported by excellent resources and facilities.
* Outstanding professional development, tailored to your career stage and interests.
* A collaborative, supportive staff team with strong shared values.
* Leaders who listen, value new ideas and invest in staff wellbeing.
* A school community shaped by our motto: All Different, All Equal, All Important.
Safeguarding
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All appointments are subject to enhanced DBS checks and safeguarding checks as part of the recruitment process.
