Engineering Workshop Manager
As the Engineering Workshop Manager, you will manage a multi-skilled team within our Workshop Department. This includes Fabricators/Welders, Machinists, Sheet Metal Workers, and Engineering Stores Controllers. Your key responsibility is to effectively plan, coordinate, and drive the Workshop Department forward.
Reporting to the Senior Management Team, you will be accountable for developing a highly skilled and motivated department that meets the needs of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage the Workshop Department in terms of timelines, costs, quality, and delivery.
2. Oversee scheduling and manufacturing of jobs issued from the Design Department.
3. Manage and support Team Leaders across different engineering functions, providing leadership and motivation.
4. Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety regulations and procedures, fostering a strong safety culture.
5. Oversee the Engineering Stores Department to ensure effective support for all engineering functions.
6. Motivate and develop your team through communication, performance reviews, and technical training.
The Person:
We seek a proactive Engineering Workshop Manager with strong knowledge of heavy engineering disciplines. Ideally, from a similar background, capable of applying their expertise across various applications.
The candidate must communicate effectively at all levels within the organization and be committed to health and safety standards.
