This full-time role offers 37 hours per week and all requests towork flexibly will be considered, allowing for business needs, and reviewedannually. The salary will be pro-rata where part-time hours are undertaken.

Main duties of the job
Defence PrimaryHealthcare (DPHC) is a vibrant and fast paced organisation which aims toprovide the absolute best primary healthcare to members of the Armed Forces andother entitled personnel.
Our MOD Dentistsaim is to maximise the deployability of the Population at Risk, providingclinical outputs, improving, and managing the dental health and operationalfitness of service personnel for whom they are responsible for.
Within your contracted weekly hours, 2 hours may be attributed tononclinical activities including practice meetings, training, and personaladministration. Theremainder of the contracted hours are to be utilised to provide clinicaloutputs and work will be directed towards improving and maintaining the dentalhealth and operational fitness of personnel for whom you are responsible.

Registrations and Memberships
* Full registration with the General Dental Council (GDC) without conditions. Please provide your membership registration number and ensure you include details on any current, spent or impending restrictions to practice.
* You are required to be registered with the relevant professional body, as detailed in the advert, prior to submitting your application. Your application will not progress should you fail to provide a valid registration number.
Qualifications
* Have undertaken Foundation Dentist Training (or have qualified before foundation training became compulsory in the National Health Service).
* Or
* Have evidence of adequate current clinical experience (either in the United Kingdom or abroad) to be able to practice independently.

Experience
* To ensure patient safety, applicants are required to have maintain evidence of clinical currency undertaking operative primary dental care, specifically a minimum of 2 clinical sessions per week over the last 15 months.
* A background in military dentistry provision and primary dental care.
* A valid United Kingdom driving license, this is to enable travelling to and working from other local regional dental centres if requested.
* Evidence of currency with General Dental Council Continuous Professional Development requirements.
* Being prepared to contribute to the development of staff skills and knowledge.
* Confidence in utilising Information Technology.
* Participate fully in the MOD Dentist performance management and the Clinical Quality Assurance & Appraisal processes.
* Be ready to cover On-Call out of hours duties as part of a regional team, if required.
