Care Network is an independent charity based in and operating across Blackburn with Darwen. Our vision is for informed, empowered, resilient, independent and healthy individuals and communities in the local area.

As part of our board you will support and shape our work and strategic direction, as well as help us achieve our purpose to improve the lives of local residents in Blackburn with Darwen.
What are we looking for? In particular, we are looking for people who have experience in the following areas:
* Financial services or accountancy
* Commercial business management and expertise
* Legal
* Links with / knowledge of the health agenda
You will need to be a sound strategic thinker with excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, and be able to demonstrate significant senior level experience.
What will you be doing? Care Network is now at an important stage of our development and we are seeking to grow our board of trustees. We want to fulfil our potential as an innovative Home Improvement Agency, building on our established safe trader scheme, and we also want to develop our central information hub that provides access to relevant health and wellbeing options, so that people can live a better life.
We are seeking candidates who can contribute to the overall strategy and direction of the charity, through effective participation at board meetings and who can support the charity in meeting challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. We are looking for:
