Description
You will be based at our Worsley Head Office Depot and be an integral part of our Metering contract responsible for managing the end-to-end process for all Civils activities. You will work with your team and closely collaborate with the Programme Manager to meet the needs of the client in the most cost-effective manner and ensure profitability for Network Plus.
You will provide operational leadership and technical expertise, working within a team to deliver a first-class service to our customers, ensuring the programme is completed safely, within budget, and on time. Experience with Water Metering Networks and the ability to engineer on-site solutions are essential. You will focus your teams on completing work right the first time.
Operational leadership includes ensuring safe work practices, timely delivery, budget adherence, and meeting client expectations. Customer service is a critical component alongside Health and Safety.
Key Responsibilities
1. Managing and motivating a team, delegating appropriately, leading by example, challenging poor behaviour, and ensuring delivery targets are met.
2. Responsible for the Network Plus contract P&L, ensuring all work is completed correctly, within budget, and properly shut down.
3. Collaborating with the programme and street works teams to ensure work completion as planned, keeping the programme manager informed of delays or ahead-of-schedule work.
4. Owning and improving overall processes, thinking ahead to implement efficient methods of working.
5. Completing Health & Safety incident and damage reports, conducting investigations, and managing disciplinary actions related to poor behaviour.
6. Driving continual improvements in Streetworks performance through defect and root cause analysis.
7. Ensuring all client and operational requirements are met professionally and efficiently.
8. Providing daily and weekly reports to meet service levels and KPI objectives.
9. Recruiting staff and suppliers, ensuring operatives have the necessary training and competencies.
10. Promoting a positive, innovative team environment by providing solutions and embracing change.
11. Reporting safety issues in line with company procedures.
12. Coaching and developing staff to reach their potential.
13. Monitoring staff performance according to specifications and instructions.
14. Ensuring all site inspections are completed as per the business programme.
15. Maintaining close call reporting targets.
16. Managing liaising with and overseeing subcontractors as required.
Experience and Qualifications
* Understanding of Modular Plus and form checking.
* HNC Qualification or equivalent.
* NRWSA certification at supervisory level.
* Experience with UU/Water networks.
* IOSH certification.
* Financial and commercial accountability skills.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
