Your new role As an Assistant Accountant, you will work closely with the Financial Controller, taking on a diverse and impactful role within the finance team. Your key responsibilities will include: Generating financial reports – Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports to support management and team decision-making. Financial statement preparation – Assist in the creation of budgets, VAT returns, invoices, and financial statements with accuracy and efficiency. Audit support – Provide crucial assistance during both external and internal audits, ensuring compliance and financial integrity. Management accounts – Contribute to the preparation and analysis of management accounts, offering valuable financial insights. Trial balance reconciliation – Maintain financial accuracy by ensuring accounts are correctly brought to trial balance. What you'll need to succeed To be considered for this role, applicants should hold an Accounting Technician qualification (such as ATI or AAT) or be a part-qualified accountant (e.g. ACCA or CIMA) with relevant experience in a finance role.
