Role Description
The HR Systems Team is a key delivery mechanism for the Council’s services, providing efficient services to its customers, both internal and external. We primarily maintain and develop the Council’s HR and Payroll system (iTrent), supporting payroll, HR and all managers and employees using online systems.
Key Responsibilities
As a Systems Development and Information Officer you will take a leading role in the support, maintenance and development of key business management systems, ensuring appropriate measures are in place, guaranteeing compliance with statutory requirements and conducting ongoing analysis of strengths and weaknesses to support effective service delivery. You will manage projects, implementation and ongoing maintenance of these systems, consulting with managers and users, ensuring timelines are met and adopting a data, intelligence and evidence-based approach.
Requirements / Qualifications
The right candidate will be an effective communicator, able to respond to service and customer requirements, while positively influencing those resistant to change. You will support system users to harness technology, provide training and ensure consistency. Experience in a large, complex organisation and knowledge of local authority performance indicators, procedures, legislation, GDPR and information security is desirable. A team player who works with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, capable of innovative problem-solving, is required.
