Our client BAE Systems, a leader in the Defence & Security sector, is looking for a dedicated Senior Engineer - Mechanical - Auxiliaries to join their team based in Scotstoun. This contract role spans 12 months and requires a specialised understanding of auxiliary piping systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Designing, developing, and managing auxiliary mechanical systems for naval ships
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the smooth integration of auxiliary systems
Conducting detailed analysis and providing technical solutions for auxiliary mechanical issues
Preparing and reviewing technical documents and specifications
Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
Providing support and expertise during the installation and commissioning phases
Engaging in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance
Maintaining detailed records and reports on project progress and engineering activities
Job Requirements:
Experience as a piping engineer
Strong knowledge of auxiliary systems and their applications
Proficiency in mechanical engineering principles and practices
Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality standards
Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification
