Casa Environmental Services has an exciting opportunity for a trainee/Junior Asbestos Surveyor.
We are looking for someone based in Berkshire and the surrounding areas who is hardworking, ambitious, enthusiastic, and eager to learn a new trade. The candidate should be committed to delivering a first-class service to our expanding client base.
Casa Environmental has become one of the leading asbestos consultancies in the Southwest of the UK, providing high standards of asbestos surveys to Housing Associations, Local Authorities, Government Departments, the NHS, Major Construction Companies, and other sectors.
The successful candidate will undergo in-house training and will be supported to achieve industry-recognized qualifications, such as BOHS P402.
You will work at various sites across the South of the UK, gaining diverse skills. The role is technical, physical, and hands-on, involving building inspections, data collection, and drawing electronic site plans.
Minimum Requirements:
* Basic understanding of DIY, the building trade, or construction industry
* Good understanding of technology, including tablet-based applications
* Full UK Driving License
Primary Duties:
* Conduct building inspections, including management and refurbishment/demolition asbestos surveys
* Liaise professionally with tenants and client representatives
* Collect samples following HSG264 and internal procedures
* Record data accurately on the company database via a tablet
* Label samples correctly and record sample locations and material details on electronic site plans
* Verify plans against data before submission
* Ensure samples are sent to the laboratory within the required timeframe
* Perform quality assurance checks on reports
