This role is to be worked between Monday – Friday however, there is flexibility on the start and finish times. All team members must work flexibly to meet the needs of the organisation. Accountable to: Director of People and Culture Purpose of the post: This fixed-term project role is focused on overhauling and streamlining the organisation’s training systems. Manage the sourcing, organisation, and updating of all mandatory, compliance, and development training across the organisation. Oversee the review of existing provision, identification of gaps, coordination of training delivery, and create a sustainable learning structure for the future. Specific responsibilities Training Needs and Planning • Lead a comprehensive audit of existing training provision, benchmarking against the National Training Framework, National Quality Service Standards, and Cyfannol’s internal expectations. • Identify gaps, outdated content, and unmet training needs; propose and implement practical, effective solutions. • Collaborate with managers and service leads to prioritise training areas aligned to organisational goals and workforce development. • Design and deliver a short- to medium-term action plan that supports organisational development throughout the project period. • Coordinate role-specific learning pathways for team members and support development conversations with managers. • Identify internal subject matter experts to co-deliver training and support the development of a "Train the Trainer" model. • Contribute to the creation and delivery of internal training content, aligned with the National Training Framework and organisational ethos. • Promote equality, diversity, inclusion and trauma-informed practice across all training content and planning. Training Co-ordination and Delivery • Research, select, and coordinate external training providers who deliver high-quality, values-led, and cost-effective sessions. • Oversee all logistics for training delivery, including scheduling, venues, resources, communication with participants, and evaluation tools. • Maintain strong relationships with external trainers, training consortia, and relevant sector bodies. • Promote training opportunities internally through clear, engaging communication channels. • Lead initiatives to promote a positive learning culture, including learning campaigns. • Coordinate a programme of internal and external learning opportunities such as L&D weeks, Lunch & Learns, and development days. • Ensure volunteers and trustees receive appropriate and accessible induction and training opportunities. Digital Learning, Systems and Compliance • Maintain accurate, GDPR-compliant records of all training activities across the organisation. • Monitor and report on statutory and compliance training (e.g. safeguarding, health and safety, GDPR) to ensure organisational compliance. • Oversee the use of a Learning Management System (LMS) or other tools for tracking and delivering learning. • Curate and manage digital learning resources and e-learning modules; support team members to access and use them effectively. • Ensure accessibility of all training content and platforms in line with inclusion best practices. Evaluation, Reporting and Sustainability • Develop and embed an evaluation framework to assess the effectiveness, reach and impact of training provision. • Gather and analyse training feedback, use data to inform service improvement, and report on outcomes to leadership. • Produce regular reports summarising progress against training plans, compliance levels, and impact data. • Provide evidence-based recommendations for a long-term, sustainable learning and development structure. • Create user-friendly systems, documentation and tools to support continued L&D delivery beyond the project period. • Manage the review and ongoing improvement of the organisation’s Learning & Development Policy and associated procedures. • Support alignment between L&D activities and the wider People Strategy, including recruitment, wellbeing, talent development and succession planning.
