We’re now recruiting Senior Residential Childcare Support Workers to join our Barnsley homes.

What You’ll Be Doing:

12. Creating a warm, homely environment through daily household tasks
13. Supporting young people’s interests and encouraging positive activities
14. Safeguarding young people and contributing to care and risk plans
15. Building trusting, meaningful relationships
16. Promoting healthy lifestyles and personal development
17. Managing behaviour with confidence and compassion
18. Supporting family and peer connections
19. Taking part in care planning, reviews, and team meetings
20. Advocating for young people at meetings and reviews


What We’re Looking For:

21. Minimum months experience in a children’s residential home
22. Level Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) – essential
23. Experience supporting vulnerable young people
24. Strong written and verbal communication skills
25. Able to work independently and as part of a team
26. Empathetic, patient, and resilient
27. Flexible with hours (sleep‑ins, weekends, bank holidays)
28. Good IT and record‑keeping skills
29. Opportunities to progress to Level and into trainee and Registered Manager roles
