About You
The Social Media Content Executive at DesignMyNight is an organised and motivated self-starter with the ability to deliver results in the B2C and Marketing Team.
This individual strives to grow communities and engagement rates across platforms by creating and optimising content across the website to drive website clicks and conversions via social. They are the go-to source for relevant hospitality news, trends, new openings, and insights that will excite our current audience and support growth targets.
Community management and platform growth are two other key areas of focus for the SMCE. They will support the growth of followers across active platforms by creating and scheduling show-stopping social content, nurturing relationships with current audiences, building on followers and implementing innovative ways to make these platforms highly engaging spaces.
The SMCE is a positive member of the team who is comfortable with feedback, loves hospitality, thrives on collaborating and supporting others, while confidently fulfilling their role and day-to-day responsibilities. They are keen to grow in their role by developing their skills across video visual branding and content strategies.
About The Role:
This role is a four-day, UK-based role with flexible working. You will have the opportunity to work from one of our offices across the UK, and on occasion, you will be asked to travel to the London office for team meetings.
Responsibilities
* Website Content: Researching and producing high volumes of non-AI generated website content that is AEO, GEO and SEO-friendly and brand-forward to achieve high levels of traffic via social media and organic search
* Social Copywriting: Create and write content for DesignMyNight social accounts that drives traffic and engagement, with a specific focus on promoting owned work with clear copywriting and eye-catching imagery/video
* Calendar Organisation: Build and manage calendars focusing on high-performing website content and social posting cadences that satisfies internal benchmarks of success
* Scheduling: Support the wider social team by scheduling content and ensuring content is scheduled at peak times across platforms using ‘best times to post’ to increase engagement
* In The Know: Finger on the pulse about key hospitality news, openings and cult moments eg Barbenheimer and ensuring these are covered across website content where appropriate
* Community Management: Nurture community management including (but not limited to) proactively replying to comments and private messages, alongside engaging with other accounts
* Understanding Data: Knowledgeable about DesignMyNight social media audiences and their interests by studying historic data and reports
* Reporting: Reporting on social and organic search performance with clear suggestions to achieve better results
* KPIs: achieve monthly and quarterly KPIs across website and social metrics

* Copywriting: Confident copywriter who can produce compelling, creative and descriptive copy across website and social media. The SMCE is comfortable with volume and tight deadlines. They produce content with minimum edits and deliver fast amends, with an end goal of self-editing
* SEO: Knowledgeable around social and website SEO with the ability to apply learning to daily work
* Research: Second to none research skills to obtain information firsthand
* Creative: A creative thinker and copywriter who can channel their skills to build impressive content
* Software: Efficient with Semrush, Bitly and Plausible for research and reporting
* Data Analysis: Data-driven and aware with a keen eye for spotting opportunities and content builds
* Tools: Confident across multi-channel social media tools eg InShot, Hootsuite, Meta, Bitly
* Trends: Ability to spot trends early and react with engaging brand-appropriate content
* Organisation: Fantastic organisation skills and an ability to stay on top of deadlines, while multitasking
* Attention To Detail: Attention to detail when spotting video and photo that will resonate on social media
* Impact-Driven Thinking: The ability to identify and action quick wins that result in better results
Experience
* A minimum of 1+ years in copywriting and social media experience

Picture this; two best friends from university, living it up in New York City. It's 2009, and they're blown away by the endless nightlife knowledge of their hotel concierge. The following night, and after a few too many frozen margaritas, a business idea was born. The two friends decided they'd had enough of half-baked websites and the ever-present hassle of planning a decent day and night out back home in London.
