Job title: Senior Supplier Quality Engineer Role Type: Permanent full-time Location & Hours: As a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer at Honeywell, in Yeovil, you will be responsible for the execution of overall external supplier quality compliance, prevention and improvement of Original Equipment Manufacturer production and supplier quality escape & route cause corrective action. Key responsibilities: - Develop positive relationships and work closely with Global quality leaders to manage, implement and train associates, suppliers, and contract personnel in Six Sigma techniques - Review and approve First/Last Article Inspection Reports, source inspections and self-release. - Perform process and product audits for proactive risk management. - Monitor supplier Quality metrics associated with supplier capability, trends and related production improvement efforts, plus track supplier improvements and support authorities and customer audits, whilst ensuring supplier compliance while driving systematic problem solving and process improvement plans to deliver performance and - Create and participate in prevention of failures, work instruction improvements, and control plan effectiveness with suppliers and drive Root Cause Corrective Action investigations to prevent defects Key skills and qualifications: - Solid experience in Supplier Quality Engineering within the Aerospace industry - Ability to travel, (mainly within the length and breadth of the UK), between 75% and 100% of the time, (Monday to Friday, Honeywell will provide hotels and travel expenses) - Knowledge and technical experience in multiple products, (from aircraft wheels to complex avionics), both electrical and mechanical - Qualified in Six Sigma to Green belt level - Experience the Net Inspect computer system Our offer: - Career Growth: Clear pathways for advancement, regular feedback, and mentorship opportunities. - Skill Development: Access to training and certifications. - Work-Life Balance: Flexible working arrangements and support for combining work with education. - Tech and Innovation: Access to modern tools, technologies, and innovative work environments. - Company Culture: Sense of community, team-building activities, and social events.
