Deputy Nursery Manager – Early Years (Level 3 or Above)
Salary: £30,000

Our client has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Deputy Nursery Manager to join their warm and welcoming early years setting. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious childcare professional to take the next step in their career, supporting high-quality early years education and care within a nurturing, child-centred environment.
As the Deputy Nursery Manager you will work closely with the Nursery Manager to ensure smooth day-to-day operations, uphold the highest standards of safeguarding and EYFS practice, and inspire a dedicated staff team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on leadership, quality improvement, and building positive relationships with families.
What We’re Looking For
* Level 3 qualification (or above) in Early Years
* Previous experience in a senior role (Deputy Manager, Room Leader, or similar)
* Strong knowledge of EYFS and safeguarding requirements
* Proven leadership and team-management skills
* Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving abilities
* A genuine passion for supporting children’s development and wellbeing

Key Responsibilities
* Support the Nursery Manager in the effective daily running of the nursery
* Ensure all children receive rich, stimulating, and age-appropriate experiences
* Supervise, mentor, and appraise staff to deliver outstanding childcare practice
* Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and external professionals
* Maintain compliance with EYFS, safeguarding, and health & safety policies
* Assist with staff rotas, training plans, and occupancy targets
* Actively resolve any concerns or complaints in a timely and professional manner
