Accounts Payable Assistant
Permanent and full-time
Salary: Up to £26,300
Location: Long Eaton, NG10
Working pattern:
* Monday–Thursday: 8:30am–5:00pm (1-hour lunch)
* Friday: 8:30am–4:00pm (30-minute lunch)
* Hybrid working: 3 days in the office, 2 days working from home
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Payable Assistant to join a busy Finance Shared Service Centre. Reporting to the Accounts Payable Team Leader, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the accounts payable function. Your attention to detail and proactive approach will be key to maintaining high standards across financial processes.
Key Responsibilities
* Process supplier invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely authorisation and payment to minimise supplier queries and accounts on stop
* Ensure all invoices are scanned and validated through ReadSoft in a timely manner
* Carry out monthly supplier statement reconciliations, resolving queries promptly and ensuring no unreconciled items remain
* Escalate outstanding payment issues to the Accounts Payable Team Leader where necessary
* Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers and colleagues
* Demonstrate a flexible, proactive and professional approach, supporting both team and individual initiatives
