About the role
This role contributes to clinical and professional teaching within the MPharm undergraduate programmes and supports the delivery of high-quality, research‑led education aligned with the University’s strategic approach to teaching and learning. You will contribute to teaching leadership, curriculum development, assessment design and marking, and the delivery of an excellent student experience.
This role involves working collaboratively with colleagues across the School to support programme development, student recruitment activities, outreach and employability initiatives. You will act as a personal tutor, providing academic guidance and pastoral support, and will contribute to pedagogical or disciplinary scholarship that enhances teaching quality and student outcomes. This role also includes participation in School, College and University activities, committees and administrative responsibilities.
About you
You will be a registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council and hold a degree in Pharmacy at 2:1 or above. You will have a postgraduate clinical qualification and/or prescribing annotation plus experience of teaching at undergraduate or postgraduate level, with evidence of excellent student outcomes, effective assessment and feedback practices, and contributions to the leadership of learning and teaching. You will demonstrate a commitment to developing your own teaching practice and to contributing to scholarship in the discipline, with experience of conference activity, publications or other forms of scholarly engagement.
With strong communication and interpersonal skills, this will enable you to work effectively with students, colleagues and external partners. You will be able to deliver teaching using a range of methods, develop high‑quality learning resources, and manage competing priorities within agreed workloads. You will be motivated to support students to succeed academically and professionally and to contribute positively to the wider academic life of the School and University.
