Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can thrive, learn, and develop essential skills. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a key role in supporting children's growth and development through engaging activities and effective communication with both children and their families.
Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality care and education for children aged 0-5 years, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
* Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning through play, fostering children's creativity, curiosity, and social skills.
* Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development, communicating effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's achievements.
* Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive team environment that supports the nursery's goals and values.
* Demonstrate strong leadership skills by guiding less experienced staff members and contributing to the overall management of the nursery.
* Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including health and safety standards, safeguarding policies, and early years frameworks.
Experience
* Proven experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential.
* A qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is highly desirable.
* Strong communication skills in English are required to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
* Previous nursery experience will be an advantage, along with management or leadership experience within a childcare environment.
