Salary: £60,266 – £78,841 (Leadership Scale L6–L10 Outer London) + TPS
We are working with a high-performing and inclusive 11–18 secondary academy in North East London that is seeking a full-time Lead Practitioner – Chemistry Specialist to start in September 2025 or January 2026.
The Role – Lead Practitioner (Chemistry Specialist) This is an exciting
opportunity for an outstanding Chemistry teacher with a passion for developing others. As Lead Practitioner, you will take a strategic role in improving teaching across the academy, supporting trainee teachers, and raising science outcomes through high-impact CPD and instructional coaching.
The ideal candidate will:
Be an excellent Chemistry teacher and role model of outstanding practice
Have a proven track record of raising student achievement across KS3–KS5
Possess experience mentoring, coaching, or training other teachers
Be confident using data to identify underperformance and plan interventions
Have experience supporting trainee teachers and promoting subject pedagogy
Be committed to safeguarding, student wellbeing, and inclusive education

About our Partner We are working with a well-established and inclusive secondary academy based in a modern, purpose-built campus just minutes from a mainline station.
