We are passionate about developing and utilizing new technologies to innovate in a growing marketplace. As part of our growth strategy, we are seeking a Purchase Ledger Controller to join our European finance team at our East Yorkshire Office.
You will be responsible for processing and paying supplier invoices in SAP efficiently, managing incoming invoices through our scanning system, and maintaining accurate records of business liabilities.
Who We’re Looking For:
* Experience working in a busy environment with strong prioritization skills.
* Purchase Ledger or finance experience.
* Excellent organizational skills.
* Ability to influence and persuade colleagues to complete tasks promptly.
* Strong interpersonal skills.
* Problem-solving skills, especially around payment discrepancies or invoice errors.
* GCSEs including a grade C in Maths and English.
* Experience with integrated scanning systems, SAP, Excel, and dealing with overseas companies is desirable but not essential.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Verifying documents within the OCR system.
* Collaborating with UK and overseas sites.
* Processing purchase invoices accurately and promptly.
* Resolving invoice queries and disputes, escalating as needed.
* Preparing and processing supplier payments weekly/monthly.
* Reconciling supplier statements regularly.
* Implementing improvements in AP processes and controls.
* Participating in regular calls to discuss process improvements.
* Supporting month-end reporting.
