Job Title: Warehouse Operative
Full-time, Permanent
Location: Yeadon, LS19 7BD
Reporting to: Supply Chain Manager
Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 37.5hrs/pw
Salary: £27,000 starting salary + benefits

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and proactive Warehouse Operative to join our growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for a long-term career within a manufacturing environment. We are looking for an individual who wants to grow with the business, take ownership of their role, and contribute to continuous improvement. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining operational performance through the safe, accurate, and efficient handling of goods. You will ensure materials are received, stored, managed, and dispatched correctly using our automated Warehouse Management System and Sage.

We are not just looking for someone to move stock, we need a reliable, hard-working team member who takes initiative, communicates effectively, and actively looks for ways to improve processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safe receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods in line with Health & Safety, BRC and regulatory requirements

• Accurate goods receipting and put-away using Warehouse Management Systems and Sage

• Managing stock control processes including inventory counts and annual stock take

• Ensuring production areas are supplied with materials in a timely manner to prevent downtime

• 100% accurate picking and packing of customer orders using appropriate packaging

• Organising and booking transport (including export shipments) using online carrier systems

• Vehicle loading and unloading safely and efficiently

• Maintaining system and paperwork discipline across all stock movements

• Supporting audits, investigations and continuous improvement initiatives

• Maintaining clean and organised warehouse and external areas

• Training and supporting new team members when required

About You:

• We are looking for someone who:

• Is committed to staying long term and building a career within warehouse and supply chain operations

• Is hard-working, dependable, and takes pride in doing the job properly

• Takes initiative and challenges existing processes to improve efficiency

• Is confident and IT literate, with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel

• Has experience using Warehouse Management Systems and stock control systems (Sage experience desirable)

• Has experience in a manufacturing warehouse environment (minimum 2 years preferred)

• Holds valid Reach and Counterbalance Forklift licences

• Has knowledge of courier booking systems and export procedures

• Demonstrates excellent communication and problem-solving skills

• Works well independently and as part of a team

• Is organised, detail-focused, and able to work in a fast-paced environment

• Has a strong understanding of Health & Safety and quality systems

Qualifications & Experience:

• GCSE Maths and English (Grade C or above)

• Reach, Counterbalance, Manual handling training

• Experience working within ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 environments desirable
