HGV Driver - Class 1 / Category CE - Tewkesbury Depot (Temp to Perm)
Location: Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire
Hours: 48 hours per week, 5 shifts per week (Night shifts, typically between 22:00 - 03:00)
Salary: £41,204.80 per annum + £20 per week driving safety bonus
Contract Type: Temp to Perm (12 Weeks)
We are looking for a skilled and reliable HGV Driver to join our busy Haulage team in Tewkesbury. This is a Class 1 (Category CE) position, but we also welcome Class 2 drivers or newly qualified drivers looking to progress their skills and career.
The Role:
As an HGV Driver, you will play a vital role in our distribution operation, delivering goods across the UK in a temperature-controlled, multi-drop environment. You'll be responsible for ensuring timely, accurate, and safe deliveries while maintaining excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate HGV vehicles (Category CE or C) in compliance with UK driving laws and tachograph regulations
Complete multi-drop deliveries, ensuring stock rotation and product quality
Perform daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly
Load and unload products safely, including manual handling
Follow health & safety and security procedures
Maintain vehicle cleanliness (inside and out)
Provide excellent customer service
What We're Looking For:
Full UK driving licence - Category CE or C
Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
Physically fit to perform manual tasks
Strong communication and customer service skills
Flexible and reliable, with the ability to work night shifts and weekends
Newly qualified drivers welcome - full training provided
Working Pattern:
Most rounds commence between 22:00 and 03:00
No routes from Saturday PM into Sunday AM
