About The Service
IFSS supports people with a history of rough sleeping, or people who are at risk of rough sleeping, to make positive moves towards maintaining settled accommodation and achieving an improved quality of life.
Impact
You will play a key role in supporting people to make positive and lasting changes in their lives. Through person-centred support, you will help individuals access housing, health, wellbeing, employment and other services that promote recovery, stability and independence.
You will empower people to develop practical life skills, build resilience and sustain their accommodation. By helping individuals strengthen community connections and support networks, you will support them to achieve their goals and create a more positive future.
Details
* Contract/Hours: Permanent, 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday 9–5.
* Salary: £27,418 – £28,541 per annum, dependent on experience.
* Closing date: Thursday 18th June.
* Interview dates: Wednesday 24th June and Friday 26th June.
About You
You will be passionate about supporting people with complex needs to achieve positive and lasting change. Using a trauma‑informed and person‑centred approach, you will build trusting relationships, encourage engagement and empower individuals to work towards greater independence.
Requirements:
* Experience of working with people with complex needs, including mental health, substance misuse or related challenges.
* Experience of using trauma‑informed approaches to support.
* A good understanding of housing, welfare benefits and support services.
* Ability to help individuals access services and navigate local support networks.
* Experience of maintaining accurate records and using IT systems, including Microsoft Office and Outlook.
* Ability to build trust and communicate in a compassionate, respectful and non‑judgemental manner.
* A full driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential.
