Manufacturing Procurement Manager!
Wise Employment are looking for a Manufacturing Procurement Manager to join a fantastic and rapidly growing company based on the outskirts of Plymouth!
This amazing opportunity is a Full Time Permanent Role offering a salary of £40,000 per annum (possibly higher for the right candidate). Working hours are 07.30am – 4.30pm Monday to Thursday and 7.30am – 1200pm on a Friday.

As a Manufacturing Production Manager you will be responsible for:
1. Developing and implementing procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.
2. Conducting project feasibility analyses, including specification of capital equipment to support future growth.
3. Driving cost-reduction initiatives without compromising quality or delivery.
4. Managing supplier selection, negotiation, contracting, and performance.
5. Ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of materials, components, and services.
6. Monitoring market trends to identify cost-saving and process improvement opportunities.
7. Maintaining accurate procurement records, pricing, and supplier data.
8. Collaborating with engineering, production, sales, and operations teams to forecast demand, manage inventory, and improve processes.
9. Ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and ethical procurement standards.
10. Preparing and present procurement reports to senior management.
To be successful in this role; you will need:
11. 3–5 years’ experience in procurement or supply chain management, ideally within electronics or manufacturing.
12. Degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management or a related discipline; professional certifications such as CIPS are desirable.
13. Strong negotiation, supplier management, and contract management skills.
14. Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving abilities, with a high level of attention to detail.
15. Proficient in procurement systems and Microsoft Office applications.
16. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective internal and external relationships.
17. Strategic, proactive, and able to work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
