Injection Moulding Machine Setter / Processor
Pay: £15.73 per hour
Shifts: 6:00am – 2:20pm or 8:00am – 4:20pm
Role Overview
An opportunity has become available for an Injection Moulding Machine Setter/Processor to join a fast-paced manufacturing team. Working within the production department and reporting to the Production Manager, the role involves carrying out tool changes, preparing machines for production runs, and supporting the smooth and efficient operation of injection moulding equipment.
The position would suit someone with previous injection moulding experience, but it is also open to individuals who are keen to learn and develop a career in this field as training and development opportunities are available.
Key Duties

Install and remove mould tools and prepare machines ready for production.

Set and adjust injection moulding machines to achieve efficient production output.
*
Monitor product quality and ensure manufactured parts meet required standards.
*
Follow the daily production plan and update relevant production tracking systems.
*
Minimise waste and downtime when restarting machines after tool or insert changes.
*
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working area around machinery and equipment.
*
Work collaboratively with supervisors, process engineers, and quality teams to maintain production performance and quality levels.

Ensure all work is completed in line with company health and safety procedures.
Training Pathway (For Applicants New to Injection Moulding)
First 1–3 months

Assisting experienced setters with material preparation and colour changes.
*
Learning the basics of machine operation and moulding processes.
*
Shadowing experienced team members to gain practical knowledge.
3–6 months
*
Opportunity to undertake formal training or apprenticeship qualifications.

Gradual introduction to machine setup and process adjustments.
