Driver’s Mate – Doncaster
Pay: £13.03 per hour (PAYE) plus holiday pay
Start Times: Between 4:00am and 7:00am
Shift Pattern: 5 out of 7 days, including weekends
Team: Work as part of a two-person delivery team
Training: Full training provided
About the Role
Pertemps are recruiting a Driver’s Mate to support delivery operations, helping ensure goods reach customers safely, efficiently and on time. This is a physically active role with plenty of hands-on work and interaction with customers.
Key Responsibilities
• Picking and loading goods onto the vehicle before departure
• Travelling with the driver and assisting with unloading at homes or licensed premises
• Communicating any issues to the transport office during the route
• Completing delivery information using a handheld device
Ideal Candidate
• Physically fit and comfortable completing manual handling duties
• Experience working with high-volume orders or in a similar environment is an advantage
• Well-organised with good time management
• Able to complete simple numerical tasks
• Previous Driver’s Mate experience is useful but not essential
