Friends of the Elderly (FotE) is a not-for-profit charity dedicated to providing excellent care with a family feel, we have been supporting older people for over 100 years. The charity provides care home and day care services for older people, as well as grants for older people in financial difficulty.
Set in the picturesque Essex village ofCopford, near Colchester, NewCopfordPlace is a purpose-built residential care home, staffed by a committed and enthusiastic team.
Joining us as aDomestic Assistant, you will help keep our care home clean and ensure that we offerhigh standardsof hygiene and cleanliness. You willbe responsible forgeneral domestic duties such as vacuuming, polishing tables and office surfaces, wiping armchairs and dining chairs and emptying bins.You’llmake sure the laundry service runs smoothly andassistwith serving meals and refreshments.
You will ideally have experience in a similar role (domestic/laundry assistant), be self-motivated and resilient and a team player who is willing to go the extra mile. You will take pride in your work, ensuring residents are at the heart of our service.
A good standard of English and number skills arerequiredfor this role, and you will be comfortable using various forms of digital technology to be able to complete online training.
