The Development Officer – part‑time role within the Active Sports Team, located at Litherland Sports Park.
Job Details
* Hours: 21.6 hours per week over 3 days (Wednesday, Thursday and Friday) with some flexibility.
* Salary: Band F (SCP 12‑19: £28,598 – £32,061) pro‑rata.
* Location: Office based – Litherland Sports Park, delivery across Sefton.
* Contract: Exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the Police Act; any offer of employment will be subject to a satisfactory enhanced criminal record disclosure. Any disclosure of a criminal record will not automatically prevent an offer of employment.
Responsibilities
* Develop and deliver a comprehensive programme of sport and physical activity programmes linked to Sefton Council priorities (Health & Wellbeing, Most Vulnerable and Community Resourcefulness).
* Implement 121 referral programmes for young people in school and community settings to improve mental and physical wellbeing.
* Design and run programmes aimed at reducing antisocial behaviour in the local area.
* Support colleagues in delivering commissioned services, including anti‑social behaviour reduction, health interventions, the Be Active holiday programme and Active Schools delivery (after‑school clubs and healthy habits workshops).
* Use sport and physical activity as a tool to engage people and deliver relevant projects.
