The Project:
The Project Bechtel is seeking to work with a major Indian corporation to provide Project Management Consultant (PMC) Services and Engineering Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM) Services for offsites and utilities (OSBL) for a multi-billion-dollar upgrade / expansion of their existing petrochemical facilities in India.
The PMC Services will be led out of India with personnel deployed in Mumbai region, the project sites in India, as well as several key contractor locations across India. The EPCM Services for OSBL will be led out of Bechtel’s India offices.
You will bring your experience and expertise to the PMC role while working within the customer’s organization as part of an integrated team. Responsibilities:
1. Review work of Contractors to ensure compliance with codes, project specifications, procedures and quality requirements.
2. Monitor Contractor performance of stress activities and recommend actions when necessary.
3. Perform or verify stress analysis of critical piping for different conditions such as thermal, seismic, wind etc.
4. Perform or verify fatigue analysis of piping system for applicable number of cycles, and LoF calculations for systems with AIV or FIV potential.
5. Verify equipment nozzle loads are as per applicable standard, project and manufacturer criteria.
6. Coordination of requisitions and vendor selection for springs, cold supports, and other engineered supports.
7. Review of Technical Queries and Deviation Requests, and work with Client and other disciplines to develop response.
8. Ensure correct application of standard pipe supports by Contractors.
9. Ensure stress analysis is complete at scope interfaces.
Skills and Qualifications:
Degree: Degree in Mechanical Engineering and Chartered Engineer, or suitable equivalent.
Experience: Extensive experience and technical expertise in pipe stress and supports.
Specific Knowledge: Experience of pipe stress requirements specific to petrochemical and polymer plants, and application of non-metallic materials.
Procedures: Understanding of the application of Company procedures, and design guides.
Software Proficiency: Proficiency with Caesar II. Familiar with FEA and nozzle Pro. Experience of 3D model viewing software such as SmartPlant Review or NavisWorks.
Standards: Specific knowledge of ASME B31.3 design and materials is essential, along with working knowledge of related standards including API 610, 661, 617, 650, 560.
Preferred: Experience of working in a PMC role is preferred.

If you prefer rotation:
* Our single status rotational schedule is an option for you. This means that you would mobilize and spend 10 weeks working in the country and then you would go home to the UK for 2 weeks and so on for the project duration.
