Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursery Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in early childhood education and have a passion for nurturing and developing young children. As a Nursery Nurse, you will play a crucial role in creating a safe, stimulating, and engaging environment for children aged 0-5 years. Duties
* Provide high-quality care and education to children in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
* Develop and implement engaging activities that promote children's physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development.
* Maintain accurate records of children's progress and communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's development.
* Ensure the nursery environment is safe, clean, and well-organised at all times.
* Work collaboratively with other staff members to create a positive team atmosphere.
* Supervise children during playtime and other activities, ensuring their safety at all times.
* Support children in developing their social skills through group activities and individual interactions.
* Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills.
Requirements
* Relevant qualifications in Early Childhood Education or Childcare are essential.
* Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is highly desirable.
* Strong management and leadership skills to guide junior staff effectively.
* Excellent communication skills in English to interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
* A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development.
* Ability to drive may be beneficial for transporting children or attending off-site activities.
