Asour Assistant Branch Manager, you’ll play a vital leadership rolein ensuring the smooth, safe, and efficient operation of our site. Acting as akey support to the Branch Manager—and stepping in during their absence—you’llhelp drive operational excellence and team performance. Here’s how you’ll makean impact:
* Lead Daily Operations, oversee day-to-day site activities, including cylinder filling and handling, ensuring resources are in place to meet customer demand and operational targets.
* Act as Site Landlord, take responsibility for site infrastructure and fixed assets, ensuring maintenance, engineering standards, and compliance are upheld.
* Coordinate Production & Maintenance, manage production and maintenance activities within budget and safety frameworks, ensuring alignment with legislative and management system requirements.
* Support and Coach Teams, provide leadership and development support to Production Shift Managers, Supervisors, Asset Control, and Maintenance teams, helping them achieve their goals and grow professionally.
* Ensure Site Security & Compliance, oversee asset control, site security, visitor inductions, and emergency response processes, maintaining a safe and secure working environment.
* Collaborate Cross-Functionally, work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless operations and strong communication across the business.
What makes you great
* Technical Qualifications & Safety Commitment, you hold (or are committed to completing) an HNC/HND and a NEBOSH or IOSH (health and safety certifications), demonstrating your dedication to technical excellence and workplace safety.
* Leadership in Industrial Environments, a proven ability to motivate, develop, and engage personnel to meet operational goals and you may have experience managing teams (industrial setting desirable).
* Stakeholder management, you have managed relationships within a unionised environment.
* Operational Agility & Customer Focus, you respond effectively to changing business demands, maintaining high efficiency and customer satisfaction.
* Standards Awareness, experience with cylinder filling/handling and ISO9001:2008 – ISO14001 systems is desirable.
* Integrity & Inclusive Leadership, you lead by example, role-modelling behaviours that promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive workplace culture.
