We're looking for a Controls Design Engineer in Norwich with a growing engineering company that provides control and safety solutions for complex systems.
You’ll be working on the development of industrial control systems across a range of projects. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both the technical detail and the bigger picture-designing systems, working with clients, and seeing projects through from concept to delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Designing control systems using PLC, SCADA, and embedded system solutions
* Producing detailed hardware and software designs
* Working closely with suppliers and vendors to source the right components
* Preparing project documentation and design packs
* Supporting clients and attending site visits when needed
* Collaborating directly with client representatives to develop and refine designs
* Taking ownership of project engineering tasks, including awareness of project costs and budgets
Requirements
* Experience in control systems design (hardware and software)
* Comfortable working with PLC and SCADA systems
* Strong IT skills (Word, Excel, databases)
* Willingness to travel to client sites when required
* Someone who can plan their work, stay organised, and deliver on time
* A problem solver who can think things through and find practical solutions
* High attention to detail and accuracy
