Digital Solutions Group
Hoare Lea Digital Solutions Group is currently working on a range of unique and technically challenging projects across the UK and the world. From project concept to commissioning, our focus is on delivering creative, high-quality, and user-centred technology solutions with technical accuracy and innovative design.
Digital Solutions Group is a team of passionate and meticulous designers, including specialist engineers from IT, Communications, Audiovisual, Cyber Security, BMS and Building Automation expertise.
Our engineering design work is a collaboration of experienced, industry-leading specialists. We bring much-needed visibility between the many building technology engineering disciplines on projects by promoting a collaborative methodology. We design connected buildings with a considered approach to facility and occupant user interfaces and a strategic approach to system integration, technology procurement, and optimisation through analytics.
The Digital Solutions Group is made up of various specialist teams, including Audio-visual, Cyber Security, BMS, ICT, and Digital Solutions. We are looking for a Revit Engineer to join the team.
Wider Team
The Wider Digital Solutions Team includes the following disciplines:
ICT – Delivering the Digital Plumbing of ICT Infrastructure, including, Passive Infrastructure, Active Network Design – E.g. Wi Fi & Wide Area Network Connectivity.
Audiovisual – Delivering an Immersive Experience for the client, whether it’s a set of purpose-built meeting rooms, an LED Wall or a Reception Installation.
Smart Functionality – Providing smart functionality to a building, generating data rich building insights via multi-functional sensors, reducing carbon, reducing the total cost of ownership or providing tenants with a community via advanced functionality.
Cyber Security – Designing secure systems into new installations, reviewing current installations to mitigate risk accordingly.
Working with landlords, developers, and project teams, we create flexible and expandable ICT solutions that achieve industry-recognised certifications and transform a structure into a smart building.
About the role
We have a new opportunity for a motivated BIM Technician to join our team in London and work with the ICT & AV Team.

You’ll be part of a supportive, dynamic environment where creativity and precision come together, and where your ideas can make a real difference.
You’ll work on a diverse range of projects across sectors such as Healthcare, Education, Residential, and Commercial, supported by both your local engineering team and our national BIM & Digital Engineering community.
In this role, you can expect to:
* Deliver accurate, data-rich 3D models and 2D outputs using Autodesk Revit.
* Set up and manage ICT and AV models, ensuring clarity, quality, and efficiency (adding of Assets into models e.g. Racks, Data Points, AV Equipment, Smart Systems).
* Develop and present design concepts for Audiovisual systems.
* Coordinate design information across disciplines, identifying and resolving clashes.
* Review external models and document changes clearly.
* Share your knowledge with team members and contribute to internal knowledge-sharing initiatives.
* Apply automation tools such as Dynamo, DiRoots, and RF Tools to enhance workflows.
* Support the use of CDE platforms (including BIM 360 / ACC) and information management processes.
* Produce reports, specifications for tender, commissioning documentation, and design notes.
* Work across multiple projects at the same time.

About you
You’re a detail-oriented and collaborative technician who enjoys solving problems and exploring new tools. You take pride in your work and understand how well-structured information supports better design, delivery, and performance.
You’ll bring:
* Strong Revit project experience.
* Familiarity with clash detection, CDE workflows, and automation tools.
* The ability to manage modelling responsibilities independently.
* Familiarity with the BS EN ISO 19650 suite of standards.
* A willingness to contribute ideas, improve processes, and support others.
Desirable skills:
* Experience with AutoCAD, Solibri, and Microsoft Excel.
* An interest in automation or visual programming (Dynamo).
* An understanding of ICT & AV concepts, confirming you will be immersed within the department and will be learning the trade of ICT & AV consultancy on the job.
* Understanding of architectural requirements (e.g. fixings, containment, rack equipment accommodation etc.) for ICT equipment installation. Technical room design.
* Good basis of knowledge in physical and cyber security principles.
* Understanding of IOT.
* Understanding of Audiovisual principles.
