Salary: £63,340 - £73,000 (depending on office location and proven ability)
Reports to: Head of Digital Construction and Infrastructure
Location: Milton Keynes/London (minimum of two days a week in the office; you can do more than two days if preferable)

The Role
We are looking for a new team member experienced in the construction sector (architecture, engineering or other discipline) with the motivation to drive change in the sector through innovation. You will work within the Construction and Infrastructure Team which is leading on two flagship programmes.
* The Digital Construction International Programme (DCIP): for the Department of Business and Trade we provide strategic and technical expertise to assist national and local infrastructure organisations and public policy units globally in adopting digital construction and information management practices.
* The infrastructure industry innovation partnership (I3P): enables collaborative innovation amongst infrastructure clients and their supply chain, to support adoption of practical solutions focused on carbon, safety, monitoring and maintenance.
You will primarily work on the Digital Construction International Programme with senior government stakeholders, advising on implementing BIM programmes and supporting the programme's wider objectives. You will also support developing other innovation initiatives using your wider experience in the sector, providing construction domain expertise such as in carbon and the circular economy. A key part of the role is client engagement with the need to be at ease engaging senior infrastructure, construction and government stakeholders. We are looking for a candidate with an understanding of information management in the built environment and the UK Information Management Framework (e.g. ISO 19650). We also welcome candidates who bring a wider skill set to design and deliver impactful innovation programmes.
Experience and Expertise
* Client engagement and business development.

* Strong understanding of the construction industry and experience on construction project delivery.
* Information management within the built environment, including ISO 19650.
* Experience of working with government departments at a senior level, with diplomacy and tact.
* Highly collaborative with the ability to engage with different stakeholders and upskill others.
* Delivery focused, able to drive outputs.
* Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team.
* Aware of construction industry developments and technology trends to evolve digital construction methodology.
* Experience in delivering and facilitating workshops.
* Adaptable and comfortable working with ambiguity in a changing environment to support evolving areas of innovation.
Key Responsibilities
* Meet revenue targets.
* Spot opportunities.
* Contribute to bids and proposals.
* Increase client confidence and credibility of CPC; manage sell-ons and second-phase wins.
* Ensure CRM system is updated with stakeholder contact and account information including opportunity management.
* Scope and lead streams of work; shape planning and budgeting of work; shape and design deliverables.
* Manage the PMO and commercial control; organise the work stream for core and virtual team members.
* Provide excellence in delivery and meet (or exceed) utilisation targets.
* Design and plan innovative and professional delivery; develop senior client buy-in across a range of stakeholders.
* Hold accountability at senior management levels; update CRM with client information.
* Contribute profession/specialism into delivery and proposal development; provide thought leadership; work in profession virtual community; provide learning opportunities.
* Maintain own professional development; ensure equity, inclusivity and diversity underpin work activity; contribute to inclusive innovation across all Catapult activities.
* You may be required to undertake any other reasonable duties to support the Catapult in achieving its strategic outcomes and ensure effective business operations.
Requirements
* Information Management in the built environment and ISO 19650.
* Qualifications and/or on-the-job experience in architecture, design, engineering, construction or other built environment disciplines.
